In Omaha poker since you are going to have more than one pocket and more than normal chances to improve one of your pockets with the next board, there is going to be a natural temptation to be playing over again and you will still want to give your hand the second chance; however, there is going to be a time when you should stop hoping on improvement in this way. When you read the board in the flop if chances are just 25% for you at the present pockets, it is most unlikely that you have not made it. With just 2 more cards to come it might be difficult to make your hand. In such cases rather than playing by momentum it is better that you fold.

Remember you have to have a sharp memory and a very good focus on which pockets you are playing in an Omaha poker game. Most of the loss and mess in Omaha poker is due to strategic mistakes. If you should win in Omaha poker, it is not enough if you just know the theory and technique of the game, but you must be able to play an occasional hand pretty brilliantly and also you must be having the odds tables memorized, because at any point in time you might have to alter your focus on the pocket that you thought would help meet the showdown, because the flop would have probably turned out to be in favor the pocket that you thought would not be worth the play.
